Come join other FBCS Members for a visit to one of our Members, Valmet Jiading factory. This is a rare opportunity to see what a really modern paper machine making factory looks like.

Valmet (China) Co., Ltd. is part of Valmet's global production network for manufacturing of paper and board machine lines, tissue machines, sections and components, as well as components and equipment for stock preparation, pulp drying machines and fiber production. From 2007 to 2020, there are totally 146 paper machines delivered globally including 5,552pcs of dryer cylinders and rolls.

Please note that we have 25 seats and we will hand out the seats with a first come first served principle.

Kari has 15-year working experience in China. He was first assigned to Shanghai in 2006 as Engineering Department Manager, then transferred to Xi'an acting as General Manager starting from 2012. In 2017, Kari returned to Shanghai and is holding the position of Vice President, Operations China in Paper Business Line.

VENUE: Valmet (China)., Ltd. (Add: No. 688 Baofeng Road, Xuhang Industrial Zone, Jiading District, Shanghai). We have bus transportation starting at People´s Park Metro Station Exit 7/8 at 8:30 AM. Please note that we will leave 8:30 sharp. The bus will take you back to the People´s Park Metro Station after the visit.

SCHEDULE:

• 08:30 - 10:00 Transportation to Valmet Jiading location
• 10:00 - 11:00 Valmet company introduction
• 11:00 - 12:00 Factory tour
• 12:00 - 12:45 Lunch at Valmet canteen
• 12:45 - 14:00 Transportation back

REGISTRATION: This event is free of charge for FBCS Members. In order for the tour to be useful for everyone, the number of participants is capped at 25. Registration is required, and seats are given out in order of registration. You may register by replying to fbcs@fbcs.fi until Wednesday, March 10, 2021, or as long as there are seats available. Registration is binding.
